Lindsay Reither is founder and director of To Return. While working as a mountain guide for seven years, Lindsay has had the opportunity to climb and guide some of the worlds most sought after peaks including Mt. Aconcagua, Mt. Vinson, Mt. McKinley and Mt. Kilimanjaro. In 2007 while guiding Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Lindsay was struck by the need to promote socially responsible tourism in developing mountain communities. From the Inca Trail in Peru, to the high Himalayas, to the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro the local guides and porters consistently appeared to be poorly equipped with both suitable gear and sufficient education. As a result, she started To Return to tackle these problems and to give back to people who have made adventures in the remote mountains of the developing world possible. Lindsay has a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College and currently resides in Aspen, Colorado.
